The Central Library

About the Central Library and the services provided to Students

As a result of the current wide and accelerating technological developments in various areas of life, it has become imperative to those who want to walk in this cultural lap to keep abreast of the evolving knowledge and scientific progress accelerated.Hence, the role of the central library, which was developed in 2016, to be a tributary of science and knowledge. It is one of the most effective and basic units that have been working since its creation to provide sources of information from books, thesis, researches by the collaboration with knowledge institutions and Iraqi universities to be accessible to researchers and readers.

The following is a summary of the most important services provided by the central library to the research students:

-Thesis, journals, books (Arabic and foreign) and university papers

It is one of the contents that has been received by the students of undergraduate and postgraduate studies of its importance as it was coordinated with the universities and open a channel of cooperation and cultural exchange with the libraries. Due to the difficulty of getting or access to sources, both Arabic and foreign, it has been worked to provide them, the library contains several sources in all disciplines.

– Library of human sciences, which is about (6340) books.

-Scientific Library, which is about (5253) scientific books.

– Journal (460).

– Scientific thesis (317).

– Thesis of human sciences ( 278).

E-library

About the E-library and the services provided to Students

As a result of the current wide and accelerating technological developments in various areas of life, especially the field of communications and information technology, it has become imperative to those who want to walk in this cultural lap to keep abreast of the evolving knowledge and scientific progress accelerated.Hence, the role of the electronic library, which was developed in 2016, to be a tributary of science and knowledge. It is one of the most effective and basic units that have been working since its creation to provide sources of electronic information from books, thesis, researches by the collaboration with knowledge institutions and Iraqi universities to be accessible to researchers and readers.

The following is a summary of the most important services provided by the electronic library to the research students:

1-Thesis and university papers

It is one of the contents that has been received by the students of undergraduate and postgraduate studies of its importance as it was coordinated with the universities and open a channel of cooperation and cultural exchange with the libraries. Where the content was brought in, sorted and sorted easily by preparing a directory for these thesis and papers so that the researcher can pick what he wants to prepare his/her research. In addition to providing other electronic links (Arabic and foreign) that help students to obtain thesis, papers and research the work is underway to provide the most.

2-E-books (Arabic and foreign)

Due to the difficulty of getting or access to electronic sources, both Arabic and foreign, it has been worked to provide them through the work of the electronic system (Caliber), which contains several libraries, including many books and all disciplines. These libraries:

– Library of human sciences, which is about (6301) electronic books.

– The Library of Engineering and Pure Sciences, which is about (3652) electronic books.

– Medical Sciences Library, which contains about (124) electronic books.

– The Library of Arabic and Islamic Sciences, which contains about (8664) electronic books.

Work is under way to provide the most.

3-Maintenance of electronic library computers, students and researchers.

4- Internet service.

5- Maintenance and installation of programs (SOA – E-library – comprehensive libraries).

6 – Print and coordinate reports to students.

7- Preparing  presentation.
