The Department Vision & Mission:
The message of the department focuses on different dimensions. The most important one is the educational formulation for the human personality of the student of Arabic language in accordance with the teaching material in the department. The department also prepares secondary school teachers. The scientific and research aspects are not less important than the educational aspect in the message of the Arabic department. But all of them integrate in one complete network so as to prepare scientific personalities qualified to do their roles in the society as well as strengthening the special scientific aspects of the department teaching staff.
The Department Aims:
1- Preparing staffs of teachers qualified to teach the Arabic language and its literature and Islamic education in intermediate and preparatory schools.
2- keeping the safety of the Arabic language by encouraging researches and studies which help to develop this field.
3- Raising the linguistic ability in the Arabic language for students in other scientific and literary departments.
4- Encouraging studies which aim at surviving heritage and achieving it through the subjects investigated by the M.A. students in the department.
5- Holding international and local conferences and seminars which aim at developing heritage to get benefit from its treasures. As such, the department keeps on holding cultural lectures and seminars in the literary and religious occasions.
Brief about the Department:
The Arabic Language department was established in 1987; and it is one of the pioneering scientific departments which graduate hundreds of teachers every year qualified to teach the Arabic language and its literature and Islamic education in intermediate and preparatory schools. The department has interest in studying Arabic heritage, in showing originality in literature fields and in studying grammar in historical stages. The department awards the B.A., M.A., and Ph.D. certificates.
