Department of Biology

The Department Vision & Mission:

     The department is meant to be a dependable center for education and research, and pioneering in all the fields of biology: animals, plants …. It aims at developing and transforming knowledge and technology in all its fields and providing knowledge resources and research capacities and training to serve the society.

The Department Aims:

1. It aims at graduating students who are qualified educationally and scientifically in order to be able to teach students efficiently.

2. Improving knowledge in all the fields of biology through developing labs and supplying them with to cope with the international scientific development in teaching M.A. students and produce good scientific researches.

3. Transforming the scientific knowledge into the society through presenting lectures and holding scientific seminars and conferences.

Brief about The Department:

      The Biology Department is considered as one of the most important departments in the faculty. It was established in 1987. It graduates many students who have B.A. in science/ biology and who are qualified to teach in intermediate and preparatory schools. The department has also started the M.A. and Ph.D. studies and thus allows students to complete their higher studies in the department. This provides other departments in different faculties with good and qualified teachers who are specialized in the different fields of biology.
