Master’s thesis by student Nawal Murad

A master’s thesis at the Faculty  of Education for Girls at the University of Kufa investigated (a study of the properties of laser-produced heavy metal plasma as a source of water window emissions) by the student Nawal Murad Muhammad.
The thesis aimed to study the theory of platinum (Pt) plasma produced by laser using the hydrodynamic simulation program MED103, an updated or developed version of the MEDUSA program.
The study found that the electron density at the beginning of the simulation is high and decreases later, and that the maximum temperature of the electrons increases with increasing laser power density and laser pulse time.
The study recommended using wider energy ranges of the CO2 laser to study the highly ionized ions resulting from platinum plasma and studying the proportion of each platinum ion and its distribution in space and time using the MED103 program.
