      The Department of Chemistry at the  Faculty of Education for Girls at the University of Kufa held a panel discussion on (Using charcoal derived from bamboo seeds to adsorb some dyes.)
Ms. Doha Mohamed Mortada studied the effect of some variables, including pH, amount of adsorbent, sieve size for adsorption, temperature, and contact time on dye removal.
It was found that the positive values of G indicate that the dyes absorption process is non-spontaneous and charcoal is prepared from bamboo seeds by physical chemical activation with potassium hydroxide KOH as an activating agent.
It recommended the use of activated charcoal of bamboo plant seeds for adsorption of other materials.
