A panel discussion “On the preparation, diagnosis and study of biological activity”

The College of Education for Girls, University of Kufa, held a panel discussion “on the preparation, diagnosis and study of the biological activity of some new metallic complexes derived from the Lycandian mixture” for the student Shawnem Hassan Babir.

It included the preparation of the azo-galcon ligand, which, after verifying the correct chemical composition, reacted with some of the d-arc ions from the periodic table and mixed it with the 8-hydroxyquinoline ligand by mixing the solutions of these two ligands with aqueous solutions of the selected ions in order to obtain the desired metal complexes. The group of solid complexes is diagnosed after being isolated in its pure form in preparation for its diagnosis by the available spectroscopic methods

It concluded that the galcon compound was prepared by reacting the ketone derivative 4-aminoestofenone with the aldehyde derivative 4-bromobenzaldehyde in the alkaline medium.
